Reports from Taiwanese publication BenchLife.info is suggesting that AMD may be holding on to the Radeon RX 7600 XT from China despite its imminent global launch. The new Radeon RX 7600 XT with 16GB of memory is slot-in release that sits just below the Radeon RX 7700 XT and above the RX 7600. The non-XT version of the GPU saw mixed reception after the internet went on a campaign to denounce NVIDIA’s VRAM capacity choices only for AMD to release the RX 7600 non-XT with 8GB of RAM itself, to which many states is just fair given its market position.
Regardless, at $269 for the RX 7600 non-XT and $449 for the RX 7700 XT, there’s a huge price gap left and many folks have resorted to buying lower-priced last-gen parts especially the RX 6700 XT which sees better performance altogether versus the RX 7600. This seems to be the caseย in China where the region-exclusive RX 6750 GRE is seeing success. So much so that sources states this is the reason why AMD is potentially holding back a China-release of the RX 7600 XT.
