VideoCardz is stating that sources have revealed to them that ASUS is working on new motherboards for AMD with an unannounced chipset presumed to be X590 and X599. ASUS internal documents currently lists two motherboards appearing with the X590 chipset namely the PRIME X590-PRO and the ROG STRIX X590-E.
The listed motherboards are highly similar in name to the current X570 product currently released from ASUS, the PRIME X570-PRO and ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING. While the supposed leaked models release to the market right is questionable, the possibility is quite high with AMD still acknowledging next-gen Threadripper. ASUS is indeed working on a revised ZENITH II EXTREME, following the ZENITH and ZENITH EXTREME which are both X399 chipset-based motherboards. The new revision is expected to sport the X599 chipset and support new 3rd-gen Threadripper 3000 CPU.
No detail is available for either chipset as of this writing.
