The ROG ASTRAL RTX 50 line is currently the most expensive AIC card series available, excluding resale market pricing. With the standard ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 already surpassing PHP 220,000 (~$3,800), ASUS has now unveiled a variant that could exceed even that.
Announced at an ASUS EMEA event, Jackie Hsu, ASUS OPBG Senior Vice President, introduced the ASUS ROG RTX 50-series DHAHAB EDITION, a commemorative release celebrating the Middle East’s rapid technological and economic rise, described as ‘from sands to the skies.’
Design and Build
“Dhahab” translates to gold, which is reflected in both the color scheme and symbolic engravings on the ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 DHAHAB EDITION. The card features:
- Gold-printed skyscrapers and cultural glyphs integrated into the design.
- Turquoise accents along the card’s lining.
- A golden die-cast shroud covering the golden fin stack.
- Stock black PCB and fan blades, maintaining standard material contrast.
This marks a regional-specific design release, emphasizing cultural recognition while maintaining the ROG ASTRAL’s core performance capabilities.
RTX 5090 GPU & ROG ASTRAL Features
The ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 DHAHAB EDITION retains the specifications of NVIDIA’s RTX 5090, which features:
- 32GB of GDDR7 memory, optimized for 4K and 8K gaming.
- Next-generation CUDA cores and AI-driven rendering enhancements.
- DLSS 4 and Ray Reconstruction, improving real-time ray tracing and AI-based upscaling.
- PCIe Gen 5 bandwidth, supporting faster data throughput.
ASUS ROG’s ASTRAL series further enhances the card with:
- Axial-tech fans with increased blade count for optimized cooling.
- Vapor chamber cooling designed for high-load stability.
- Premium PCB components supporting higher power delivery and overclocking potential.
Pricing and Availability
As of this announcement, ASUS has not confirmed official pricing or availability details for the ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 DHAHAB EDITION. Given that the standard ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 already surpasses PHP 220,000 (~$3,800) in some markets, the DHAHAB EDITION’s pricing is expected to reflect its premium, region-specific positioning.
No confirmation has been made regarding production limits or regional exclusivity, but given the targeted market focus, availability could be restricted.
Further details are expected from ASUS and regional distributors in the coming months.
