GIGABYTE was the first to show-off the no-wire concept a few years ago and was also the one that brought this trend to market. The design though is patented by Maingear, so GIGABYTE directly worked with MAINGEAR in developing their concept.

We have previously covered the Project Stealth concept before from GIGABYTE AORUS and now we’re finally seeing it in action.
The specs of the AORUS STEALTH concept is quite outdated at this point as it still is the RTX 3070 we’ve seen from last year, what AORUS is doing though is showing off the visual potential of this form factor, which unfortunately willl incur a licensing cost presumably from the patent holder.
If there was ever a more appropriate meme to go with this concept, its this Simpson meme with Homer tucking away all his *ehem* body excesses behind his back.
Because regardless if its from GIGABYTE or MSI, you’d still need to plan your cabling and as this demo shows, there’s still some work to be done here.
Still, pushing the cables to the back of the motherboard does beg the question if we’re stuck with only one solution for this. Another brand may have the answer but for now, AORUS’s Stealth concept is an ecosystem driven solution which requires a compliant mothebroard, GPU and chassis if you want to properly have the device connectors popping up on the back.
Visually though, its a subtle change especially for those used to really tidying up their cables and spending more to keep them neat via sleeves and extensions or even custom covers. Still, the GIGABYTE STEALTH concept remains a concept as its a generation behind but who knows if GIGABYTE will push this on retail outside of custom pre-builts.
