Those who have been craving for a new zombie game is in for a treat with the latest that would come out for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 has released an announcement trailer over a t IGN three days ago. The game’s title is Dead Island which is being developed by Techland, the creators of another first person shooter, Call of Juarez.
The announcement trailer itself didn’t show any gameplay shots but practically set the mood of the game. You can see a young family just enjoying their day in a lush resort when the outbreak occurred. I wouldn’t spoil you guys more so you can just watch the trailer on it’s original format and on the edited chronological format, both of which are courtesy of IGN.

Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features are presented in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and engrossing campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode.
The game is set to be released this year and has these features:
- first-person melee combat
- 4-player coop
- weapon customization
- set on an open world tropical island
- RPG elements for character development
- hordes of gruesome zombies
So whoever is dead set for their zombie killing freak on then better watch out for this one.
