Intel Philippines held a press event highlighting their Atom line of mobile processors last Tuesday, May 21st, over at Skinny Mike’s in Bonifacio Global City. The event, hosted by Magic 89.9’s Jessica Mendoza, consisted of one main presentation and a couple of live demonstrations headed by Leighton Philips, Director of Marketing Pricing for Intel Asia-Pacific.
The presentation featured the Intel Atom line along with various mobile devices powered by the said processor. Mr. Philips also went on to deliver comparisons between the Atom and its competitors, backed up by benchmark scores and a couple more demonstrations before closing off the first half of the presentation with their mobile processor roadmap.
The true highlight of the program, however, was the unveiling of Intel’s new Silvermont architecture for powering the next generation of mobile devices, which should be out as soon as Q4 2013. Â The new architecture boasts of delivering better performance, longer battery life, and a more solid overall mobile experience for consumers.
