In a supposed answer to DC Universe Online, Marvel releases the first promo shot for it’s upcoming Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game – Marvel Universe. Not really an original title but one that aims to capture the interest of gamers all around the world. The game lets players play with their choice of Marvel character and assuming the hero’s powers and personalities as their own. Contrary to what role-playing games are usually made of, the missing character creation element will surely be a hit and miss with some players.
Graphics are bordering on 2d with a rendered effect of shiny plastic, much like playing with collectable figures. The look of the characters are also true to how they are portrayed in the comics. So without the ability of creating your own hero character, let’s see how this game will fare when it’s finally released.
