Remember last year where we mentioned something about the supposed Marvel MMO? Well apparently we’ve been put in the dark about any updates of it (but it’s due more to our lack of actual research, sorry about that guys). However we’d like to rectify that little mistake by saying that we’ve been given a head’s up on the Marvel based MMORPG.
Named, Marvel Heroes, the MMORPG created by Gazillion Entertainment in tandem with Marvel Entertainment. This upcoming Free-to-play MMORPG will put us in the shoes as our favorite Marvel Character going against Dr. Doom from destroying the world (or just creating it in his image, that narcissist!) with the power of… wait for it… the cosmic cube.
As far as the playable character list is concerned, we currently have Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, Colossus, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Deadpool, Thing, Spiderman, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Cable, Cyclops, Ms. Marvel, Storm, Scarlet Witch and Human Torch (as of this posting) as part of the confirmed list players can choose to play.
The game will run on the Unreal Engine and the game’s plot is written by Brian Michael Bendis. (House of M, Secret Invasion)
As far as customization is concerned, players can choose your heroe’s costume. For example, you have the option to go for the movie version of some characters ie (the avengers) or you can go for their comic book look (ex. Hulk in his Planet Hulk look). As for their skills/powers, you have the option to set up your heroe’s skills in accordance to the players preferred playstyle.
There is no release date yet however, we may get to know more when in the coming weeks ahead.
