We had the chance to drop by Genius’ booth over at Computex 2016 to check-up on what’s new with the brand and we were welcomed by plenty of new products from the company particularly their peripheral line. Genius is a peripheral maker focusing on keyboards, mice and audio devices but has dabbled in the gaming peripheral market with their GX branding.
On display in their GX gaming section, Genius showed off their range of keyboards, mice and headsets for gaming.
The most noteworthy attraction in Genius’ section though were their audio offerings starting off with their portable Bluetooth speakers. Supporting Bluetooth and direct input, the new Genius portable Bluetooth speakers is able to pair with most smart devices and Bluetooth-capable notebooks and have very decent audio as well as rich bass. Genius showed these off with their line of slim power banks.
Genius also revealed their lineup of wired and wireless headphones as well as their powerful, entertainment-oriented BT speakers.
One of the hottest draw in the Genius booth though are their newly unveiled stylus pens. Powered by an internal battery, these new pens are compatible with most touch devices including Apple products. Demoing the Genius stylus was an artist who flawlessly sketched artworks from her iPad.
Genius was also boasting their new rechargable mice that don’t require disposable batteries. The new wireless mice have built-in batteries allowing them to be charged via cable and used as needed without removing batteries for charging. Also on display is their new unified dongle system which removes the need for multiple dongles. Now all Genius device can run off a single dongle so no more taking up USB ports. Genius was also showcasing their new app which lets you assign shortcut keys to commonly accessed programs. Basically you get a macro that lets you run apps without the need to click through menus.
