TechPowerUp is reporting that GIGABYTE has just filed model name registrations for some new products currently unreleased. A European Economic Commission (EEC) registration notice lists mostly GPUs consisting which following GIGABYTE and AORUS naming convention, suggests 12GB and 16GB variants of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 Ti respectively. The listing also includes a listing for currently unnannounced AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics cards which are rumored for a post-CES launch in 2022.
A curious submission here is the listing of an ITX variant of the RTX 3080 12GB which should suggest a possible single-fan solution or an ultra-compact cooler from GIGABYTE that conforms to their ITX standard. This marks a rare occasion that a company has released an RTX 3080 for ITX which should please some mini-PC enthusiasts.
No release date has been confirmed but with the RTX 2060 12GB already making an official launch yesterday, it seems NVIDIA is refreshing their RTX 30 series cards as well for early 2022 with the later half of the year possibly seeing a new card launch.
