Scott Herkelman, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD’s Graphics Business Unit, has announced his departure from the company at the end of this year. Herkelman, a seasoned industry veteran, has spent seven years at AMD, during which he oversaw the launch of three generations of RDNA graphics architectures. His career includes a stint as the General Manager for GeForce at NVIDIA before briefly joining a start-up and subsequently joining AMD in 2016 as Vice President and General Manager of the Graphics Business Unit. In 2022, he was promoted to Senior Vice President.
After seven years at AMD and launching three increasingly competitive generations of RDNA graphics architectures, I have decided to leave AMD at the end of this year.
