The first ever Heroes of the Storm World Championship will be going down later in the year in Blizzcon and for SEA players, the road begins with the regional qualifiers seeing teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines will each send their top teams to the Southeast Asia Championship hosted by Asiasoft and the team that comes out on top of the SEA Championship will represent the region for the Americas Championship to find out who will ultimately go on to compete in the Heroes of the Storm World Championship at Blizzcon 2015 with a $1.2 million prize pool.

Last July 25 saw the Philippine leg of the SEA Championship draw to a close with Team BIBINGKA securing their hot streak as the dominant Heroes of the Storm team in the Philippines, beating out Wargods in a 3-0 sweep making them the first ever Heroes of the Storm champions of the Philippines. You can see the full bracket here.

First runner up is Wargods with 2nd runner up Southwinds jostling out G7.Hype for the position.
BIBINGKA will head over to Thailand for the SEA championship with SALT Gaming MY and Relics already waiting to complete out the SEA finalists.
The PH Finals isn’t without its thrills with tons of highlight plays and even plenty of lulz including random and troll picks. This goes to show that the Heroes of the Storm community never stops having fun even in serious situations like this. Even more so that Blizzard intentionally designs Heroes of the Storm to be a welcoming gaming for those that have become fed-up with the toxicity of other MOBA titles, encouraging team play and camaraderie through its gameplay and community as well.
Asked about their plans for the future, BIBINGKA gives a resounding “To BLIZZCON!” roar affirming the team’s intent on debuting on the grandest stage of Blizzard. We wish BIBINGKA the best of luck in the SEA Finals!
