Feral Interactive has confirmed through their official website and through their Facebook page that Hitman (2016) will come to Linux on February 16, 2017. This will be another great addition to the growing library of games for Linux. As usual with Linux ports, the game will probably use OpenGL. Though there is no official announcement on what Linux ports will be using Vulkan, Feral Interactive did confirm that they will use Vulkan for their upcoming Linux ports this 1st half of 2017.
This year is starting to look like a great year for gaming on Linux. More games like DiRT Rally and Civilization VI are confirmed to come on Linux this year. It seems Valve‘s effort in supporting Linux is finally paying off and proves that Linux is a viable option for playing the latest games on the PC.
