Der8auer, famed overclocker and performance seeker, has just unveiled custom IHS made of 99.99% silver for the i7-8700K on his Facebook page. This will be used in tandem with ThermalGrizzly Conductanaut liquid metal thermal material in-between the IHS and the i7-8700K die. These will be sold as the Core i7-8700K Ultra Edition via CaseKing and will retail forย 749.90โฌ.CaseKing coversย the chips with a 2-year warranty and guarantees a 32*C lower operating temperature than stock TIM/IHS from Intel.
We’ve noted in our i7-8700K CPU review that it is one hot chip to overclock but 5ghz was easily attainable. With the i7-8700K, people who aren’t comfortable delidding their CPU or want the utmost performance will now an option with the Ultra Edition 8700K from CaseKing.

How hot does that usually run?
5ghz would usually push it to 92*c on out 360 rad aio
My i7-8700k runs perfectly at all cores @5.0GHz w/ 1,37V at about 75ยฐC. Tested 3h with Prime95
