Intel has officially announced the return of its annual “Intel Innovation” event, scheduled to take place on September 19-20, 2023. This event is a highly anticipated gathering that brings together professionals from various sectors, including hardware and software developers, architects, technology managers, researchers, and influential figures within the technology industry.
While encompassing a wide range of Intel’s product offerings, the event has historically been a platform for introducing groundbreaking technologies. In the previous year, attendees were treated to a keynote presentation by Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, which included the debut of the 13th-gen Core Series aka “Raptor Lake” processors for desktops.
This year, speculation is strong that Intel will unveil its 14th-gen Core series processors. These processors are expected to be an enhanced version of the Raptor Lake architecture (the second refresh from Alder Lake), featuring higher clock speeds and improved performance. Although the official release date remains unconfirmed, early reports suggest that Intel is likely to make the announcement in late Q3.
Traditionally, Intel has unveiled its new K-series processors during this timeframe, aligning with the annual Intel Innovation event. This synchronization hints at the event serving as the stage for Intel’s next-generation processor reveal.
Beyond processors, Intel Innovation is the venue for updates to Intel’s technology roadmap. The industry is eager to gain insights into the upcoming generation of Arc GPUs, codenamed Battlemage’ poised to make a significant impact in the graphics market.
