MNL48 App Launches in Google Play, Applications Start

It has started!

The MNL48 App called MNL48 PLUS, was officially launched yesterday, December 3, 2016. The app is now live on Google Play and may be downloaded by users for free.

MNL48 PLUS is an essential tool for MNL48 fans, as the platform publishes the latest news, updates, and announcements about the group. It is also the only program where aspiring idols may apply for the auditions for MNL48’s first generation members.

Supporters may also download the app to register as a regular user and gain access to a special set of features that will allow them to actively participate in the audition process by supporting their favored candidate.

The app will also be available in the App Store soon.

MNL48 PLUS was developed and distributed by Hallohallo Entertainment Inc., the operator and manager of MNL48.

Who may join?
– Female
– Single
– Ages 15 to 20
– Philippine Resident.

You also must not have any of the following:
– Musical Recording, Acting or modeling contract.
– Merchandising Agreement
– Contract for talent representation (e.g talent agent or manager)
– And any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit the contestant from entering into a management, recording contract, talent contract, acting contract and/or merchandising contract.

MNL48’s official debut is slated to be some time in 2017.

MNL48 is the newest sister group of AKB48. Based in Manila, it was born through the cooperative efforts of Hallohallo Entertainment and AKS Co., LTD. It aims to bring AKB48’s original concept of “Idols you can meet” by performing daily at their own theater.

As of writing, there are already 129 applicants and 600 likes.
