MNL48 to join Sister Groups in Thailand for the Asia Festival 2019

AKS Co. Ltd announces the biggest AKB48 Group event yet, the Asia Festival 2019. Presented by Shanda Games the idol festival of all idol festivals will be held at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on January 27, 2019..

During the press conference held yesterday, December 11, 2018 in Thailand, AKS Co. Ltd. International Business Division Nana Aso shared that this will be the first-ever Asia Festival in the history of AKB48, where its Asian sister groups namely AKB48, JKT48, BNK48, SGO48, AKB48 Team TP, AKB48 Team SH, and MNL48 will be gathered together for a day full of fun and exciting activities.

BNK48 General Manager, Job shared that he is very proud that the biggest 48 Group Festival will be held in their city. “The event will be so great and this will be a great experience for the BNK48 group as they will be able to work with other six groups from other countries. I would like everyone from all over the world to be part of this festival and have a great time together.”

The event which is expected to draw 20,000 to 30,000 visitors, will consist of two parts: on the first, fans and supporters will be given the chance to interact and have a high touch session with the representatives from the seven 48 groups from Asia. On the second part, attendees will witness the once-in-a-lifetime gathering and performance of all participating AKB48 Groups.

Also present at the press conference, are BNK48 members Music, Mobile and Captain Cherprang who shared their excitement at sharing the same stage with their sister groups. “We’re going to wait for you, it’s going to be fun, you can enjoy all the activities all day,” Cherprang said.
“I want to talk to all the groups. I want to take a group photo with everyone and eat together,” Music added. “I want to go shopping and visit the theater here, so let’s enjoy and have fun together,” Mobile commented.

To keep the excitement in the press conference, a special video greeting from BNK48’s sister groups were also shown in the screen, where all of the idol groups expressed their excitement to meet each other and create wonderful memories together.

“We will be part of Asia Festival 2019 together with our sister groups, this will be the first time that MNL48 will be performing outside the country and we are very excited, and it will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. See you there!” MNL48 Senbatsu said.

MNL48 will be flying to Thailand to be part of the festival, joining their sister groups for the first time. The chosen members are Sheki, Brei, Jem, Sela, Mari, Rans, Faith, Gabb, Abby, and Coleen. They will be performing with the rest of their sister groups in this memorable event.
