MSI is announcing a voluntary recall of its MAG CoreLiquid 240R and MAG CoreLiquid 360R AIO liquid coolers. MSI has recently discovered an issue wherein the coolers indicated have been shown to produce sediments that cause the loop to be blocked.
While CPUs will automatically shutdown to protect itself from overheating, this does lead the cooler to perform inadequately in most situations and is easily noticeable when during idle the CPU has a higher temperature than what is normally expected.
MSI advises customers to contact their local dealers or distributors if they already experience the issue. For those who are not experiencing any problem but want to have their MAG CoreLiquid product replaced, MSI has a portal which allows users to apply for a replacement. You can visit the recall website here.
