Nvidia Gtx 1060 Specs Confirmed

The supposedly new NVIDIA GTX 1060 claimed to have been spotted earlier in HK and is reportedly officially debuting next week is now getting another revelation via supposed leaked slides from VideoCardz.

The slides confirm the new cooler design as well as performance comparison versus the AMD Radeon RX 480. Baseline performance is intended to match the GTX 1080 with the NVIDIA GTX 1060 performing at around 115% faster than the the RX 480. The slides also reveal a >140% advantage in efficiency.

The slides shows NVIDIA billing the GTX 1060 as having the power of a GTX 980 but will be priced more competitively as it competes directly with the AMD RX 480.

The NVIDIA GTX 1060 will reportedly have 1280 CUDA cores and will have a core Boost clock of up to 1700Mhz. A total of 6GB GDDR5 RAM will compliment the card with a bandwidth of 8Gbps and will draw power from a single 6-pin PCIe connector. The GTX 1060 is rated for 120w TDP.

Yeah its targeted to compete with the RX 480 but if it performs faster than a GTX 980, RX 480 will be forced to drop prices and compete with the older 970 when that one drops in price also

Might as well wait a few more months and buy a 980 Ti at the price of a GTX 960.

Hmmm, konting hintay pa, bago magrelease ang AMD ng RX470 if meron.. tapos tatapatan din ng Nvidia with a 1050.. it never ends~ xD

Its common practice to have a baseline of 1 and then go from there. I know, it’s terribly misleading but it serves their purpose well to make them look good.

If it costs below 15k, it’s time to upgrade my GTX 960 then.

if the price will be $200-$250 then it might compete with RX 480 but highly doubt it.
