During its CES 2024 presentation, NVIDIA expanded its GeForce RTX 40-series “Ada” lineup with the introduction of three new models bearing their mid-season power-up naming with the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER. These new models take in the learnings of the past launches and added those in to enhance gaming experiences at various resolutions as well as creator and AI application utilization, with the RTX 4070 SUPER and 4070 Ti SUPER targeting 1440p gaming, and the RTX 4080 SUPER aimed at 4K gaming, all with full ray tracing capabilities.

GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER
Launching on January 17 at $599, this model will coexist with the current RTX 4070, which will see a price reduction to $549. The RTX 4070 SUPER features 56 SMs, 7,168 CUDA cores, and a 12 GB GDDR6X memory on a 192-bit bus.
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
Set to be available from January 24 at $799, this model replaces the current RTX 4070 Ti. It is built on the “AD103” silicon, offering 66 SMs, 8,448 CUDA cores, and 16 GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus.
GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
Releasing on January 31 at $999, this model replaces the existing RTX 4080. It fully utilizes the “AD103” silicon with 80 SMs, 10,240 CUDA cores, and a memory speed increase to 23 Gbps, providing 736 GB/s bandwidth.
All three models feature improvements in GPU base and boost frequencies, with the RTX 4080 SUPER seeing a notable 100 MHz increase. The RTX 4070 SUPER’s total graphics power (TGP) is increased to 220 W, requiring 12VHPWR connectors, while the TGPs for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER remain at 285 W and 320 W, respectively. These launches are part of NVIDIA’s strategy to refresh its higher-end product stack, offering enhanced performance for gamers and enthusiasts.
