There was already news floating around about a new TITAN X and speculations projected its release later in the year but in another bold move after 3-consecutive months of new GPU releases, NVIDIA has announced the new Pascal-based GeForce GTX TITAN X.
Specifications for the new GTX TITAN X are as follows and NVIDIA states that performance will be up by 60% versus the original GTX TITAN X:
- 12-billion transistors
- 11 TFLOPs FP32 (32-bit floating point)
- 44 TOPS INT8 (new deep learning inferencing instruction)
- 3,584 CUDA cores at 1.53GHz (versus 3,072 CUDA cores at 1.08GHz in previous TITAN X)
- High performance engineering for maximum overclocking
- 12GB of GDDR5X memory (480GB/s)
The new GTX TITAN X will be available on August 2, 2016 and will have a retail price of $1200. It will be available in stores in North America, Europe and select system builders on launch day. An Asian release of the new GTX TITAN X will be coming soon.
The new TITAN X will sport the new Founders Edition design cooler but will come in black and will have a slightly refined detailing on the the shroud tooling.
