AMD earlier sent announcements that price can be announced following a price cut which saw the Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700 go from $449 and $379 to a now more compelling $399 and $349 for the Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 respectively.
This follows an earlier attempt from NVIDIA to disrupt the launch hype of the new 7nm-based Navi GPUs with their new GeForce RTX Super lineup consistent of the RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2060 Super. An RTX 2080 Super will also follow with a later release this month.
These new cards from AMD proved capable enough to match NVIDIA’s almost-1-year-old RTX cards and the RTX Super line was enough to destabilize their launch momentum. AMD in-turn countered with a price cut to their to-be-launched AMD Radeon RX 5700 Series.
AMD will be having 3 launch models for their Radeon RX 5700 Series lineup with the Radeon RX 5700 XT, Radeon RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition and the Radeon RX 5700. The anniversary edition is a pricing version of the reference RX 5700 XT but with a gold theme.
The Philippine price have now just been sent out with the following details:
Radeon RX 5700 Series GPUs (Starting From)
(Philippine Peso) |
Tax | ||
Country | 5700 | 5700XT | |
Philippines | 20,873.00 | 24,461.00 | INC 12% TAX |
It is expected that AMD will not be allowing AICs to offer custom boards at this time so all Radeon RX 5700 cards available on launch are reference designs feature a blower style cooler. As listed, there is no confirmation that the Anniversary Edition will be available in the Philippines.
