With more and more news, leaks and rumors paving the way for the imminent launch of Intel’s 12th-generation CPU codenamed Alder Lake-S, we now receive the first photos of the packaging designs for the new line courtesy of VideoCardz.
Following their recent rebrand like, Intel will use the same style packaging we’ve seen on the Rocket Lake-S 11th-gen CPUs with the blue box design as well typography. As the images indicate, we’ll see the Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5 first with the Core i3 models arriving on a later date but the box would be the same. The image above shows the unlocked CPU packaging and hence do not include the box cooler.
Like the 9th-gen release onwards, Intel will also have a stylized box for the Core i9-12900K. It seems Intel will be including a graphic of their silicon wafer in the box with the CPU tucked in the center.
Intel will have an Innovation event on October 28th with 12th-gen Core CPUs releasing soon after.
