PLDT is offering their Home Fibr service to new subscribers at 50% their monthly billing for the first 6-months while enjoying all the benefits of full-paying subscribers.
PLDT Home Fibr applicants who have no previous Home Fibr subscription can avail of the discount starting May 15, 2017 and the promo will continue until the end of the year. Those who avail will receive 50% off the normal billing of their monthly bill e.g. Power Plan 2899 will be only Php1450 monthly for the first 6-months so on and so forth.
The promo locks the subscriber for 3-years or 36-months though and notes a 3x normal monthly charge for pre-termination. The terms and conditions does not say much about the pre-termination computation i.e. is the pre-termination charge computed for the remainder of the lock-in with three times the monthly normal fee or just the pending monthly normal fee times three.
While 6-months is relatively short compared to the full-36 month lock-in, those whose areas are under Home Fibr coverage and have been wishing to trial the service in hopes to grow their business may see the value in this promotion.
Based on personal experience, PLDT Home Fibr proves to be a reliable service on most situations where FTTH is possible. Fibre-to-Copper subscribers have reported less than satisfactory performance though. You can read more in our initial review of PLDT’s Home Fibr service here.

first 6mos lang pala hahaha! 36mos tapos puro problema pala, tapos 3x normal monthly charge for pre-termination, boom! nevermind.
Oh, and you need to make sure that you have to pay on time (preferably three days before your due date if you’re using online banking) in order to maintain the 50% off promo otherwise you’ll lose the promo as explained to us by one of their CSRs (PLDT called us one week after installing our Fibr line and oriented us about the details of the promo).
