Seagate and Dahua Team Up to Provide Safe City Solutions

As cities grow in terms of wealth and infrastructure, there is a rising need to improve security operations to protect the welfare of its citizens. Seagate and Dahua joins forces to provide a world class “Safe CIty” Standard through surveillance technology.

Dahua’s Safe City Solution proposal involves surveillance cameras that feature Predictive Focus Algorithm and Automatic Number Plate Recognition. These features aid in making roads and public areas safe. The Predictive Focus Algorithm helps Dahua’s CCTVs in capturing crisp video while zooming in. The algorithm allows the CCTVs to better identify the source of an incident even in a longer distance.

Seagate held an integral part in Dahua’s vision of a safe city with innovative solutions for its surveillance solutions. Seagate’s SkyHawk storage capacity ranges from 1 TB up to 14 TB and with a workload capacity of 180 TB per year for the normal Skyhawk, while the Skyhawk AI can withstand up to 550 TB workload per year.
