In a surprising move, Square Enix finally announces Final Fantasy XV for Windows, released last November 29, 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, and will also be available on the PC Platform (Via Steam, Origin and the Microsoft Store) early 2018.
This rumor has been swirling since before the game got released when a leaked photo of a poster showed the “PC” logo beside the logos of the PS4 and XB1 and then the PC Tech demo that was shown last year further fueled up the hype for the PC release however, Director Hajime Tabata still did not formally announce it but did “tease” the possibility of a PC port.
The upcoming Windows Edition already contains the free content updates as well as the paid content via the Season Pass, the game will also come with new features to truly maximize high-end PC owners with native 4K (up to 8K) (3840×2160) resolution, HDR 10, a First-Person Mode (As Noctis) and some graphical improvements with the help of NVIDIA.
No Minimum/Recommended PC Specifications have been released for the game yet but I do assume a pretty “new” PC to run the game at a stable frame rate.
You may check the announcement trailer in the video below:
We have already reviewed the game on the PS4 and it scored an 85% and although a lot of content has been added since then, we just hope that most of it will be enough for the PC owners that wish to buy the game at its full price.
