CONCLUSION
Coming in at Php3995, this headset is up there in the high-end league jostling with stereo and surround headsets alike. Although the Sigma isn’t true surround, Creative’s awesome bundle and impressive USB audio device more than makes up for this with excellent spatial imaging and immersion that rivals true surround solutions. It may not be as flashy as the wireless Omega, the Tactic3D Sigma however makes for that with its impressive performance and sound quality.
We, however, have a hard time recommending the Sigma. In a very crowded market, it’s price tag doesn’t make it stand-out and solely rides on the Sound Blaster name to try and get across to potential buyers. Making it stand out less is the fact that it’s not really a hefty bundle and most gamers will be swayed by gamer-centric brands than an audio brand if they aren’t familiar with the Sound Blaster branding. We’re docking it for quality also as Creative has shown us they are capable of on-cup controls also.
The Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigma may perform like a champ but it has a hard time getting it’s name across with a lot of similar competing solutions. Still, this product is a cheap proposition considering you’re getting a solid USB audio device that also comes packed with awesome digital enhancements. If you have a thing for Creative’s products then the Sigma might be for you, but if you’re a gamer that’s trying to mix style with performance then the Sigma is for your consideration.
