One of the cutest matching games in the Android Market that I’ve come across is Birzzle. It has nice bright colors and uber cute birds that you have to match at a minimum of 3’s in order to score and clear rows and columns. Oh and by the way, Birzzle is offered for free. The only downside from it is the hefty download of 31MB.
As of now, there are two kinds of games that you can play – Classic and Ice Break.
Classic Game
You must clear the box of birds as they constantly pile up. You can do this by swiping the birds into matching pairs. You can move the birds as long as they’re not boxed in. A fresh row of birds drops every few seconds and the intervals get fewer as you progress to higher levels. You get bonuses if you match 4 birds and up. These can be in the form of bombs or firebirds. Also as you progress a level, newer birds add to the original mix.
Ice Break
This one’s a little different from the classic mode due to the fact that it is timed. Match the birds still in pairs of 3 but with the intent of clearing ice blocks as well. When you clear the ice blocks, you get bonus loot that could be in the ice. These could be an hour glass which gives you extra seconds or a golden egg which gets collected on the basket on the upper left hand of the game screen. Collect enough eggs to gain bonus points.
BIrzzle does offer hours of gameplay, for as long as you can keep the board clear of birds that is. It’s definitely a “win†when it comes to graphics. The gameplay is not as innovative but does offer unique features of it’s own.
