Do you want to play using an ultrawide monitor but unsure if Radeon RX 580 8GB can handle it? Are you still in doubt if Mesa (open source GPU driver) can run the latest games without problems at ultrawide resolution? Then, you’ve come to the right place. We tested recent games and popular games that have built-in benchmark tools to measure performance at 2560 x 1080 resolution. Two types of image quality setting were used for benchmarking – one for prioritizing high frame rate and one for prioritizing eye candy.
Results Summary:
- All the games ran without graphical glitches on Mesa 18.0.1 and no system crash was experienced.
- 3 out of 8 games tested have an average frame rate of 120 FPS when using High preset.
- 5 out of 8 games tested have an average frame rate of 90 FPS when using High preset.
- 1 out of 8 games tested have an average frame rate of 60 FPS when using Medium preset.
- 1 out of 8 games tested failed to have an average frame rate of 60 FPS even when using Medium preset.

Here is the test system used for benchmarking and everything is running at stock speed.
Processor – Intel Core i7 7700 3.6 GHz (Turbo Off)
Graphics Card – Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB
Motherboard – Gigabyte Z170N Gaming 5 (rev 1.1)
Memory – G. Skill Trident Z 8GBx2 DDR4 3200 @ 2,133 MHz
Operating System – Ubuntu MATE 17.10
GPU Driver – Mesa 18.0.1
Drive – OCZ Trion 150 240GB
Case – Silverstone ML08
The test results are the average of 3 benchmark runs. There are 4 benchmark runs but the 1st one is used to heat up the GPU and is not included in the averaging. The only exception is F1 2017 wherein the benchmark was only run once but the lap count was set to 4. All the games were benchmarked on Linux and they all run natively on Steam for Linux. No need for WINE.

Is this monitor available locally?
Lovepreet Singh decent?
Dette handler om Mesa (Linux), ikke om PC komponenter xD. Men er jo kult å se Linux optimalisere seg mer for gaming å :3
lmao XD
