There’s no denying Maxwell is a great opportunity for NVIDIA to take over the lower-mainstream market. Gamers who have 5-6 year old system which still rock the GT430s or even 9600GT GPUs of olden days will find the lower power consumption and high performance of the GTX 750 Ti a worthy upgrade. Let’s break down the score:
Performance. The Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC performs great on games highly optimized games for NVIDIA titles given its performance for Batman: Arkham Origins. Well-made games like Battlefield 4 also show playable frame rates even in Ultra putting the Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC in solid spot for gamers that don’t bother with AA. Overclocking also helps improve this further.
Build Quality. Palit is stepping up its game using a more solid black PCB on the Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC giving at premium feel. We do feel our sample has a bit of a hiccup on the power draw as we’re seeing higher than normal draw even after retesting.
Functionality. As we’ve mentioned in our article for the GTX 750, the Maxwell-based GPUs are great for HTPC and SFF applications but given their excellent performance even on modern titles they can power mainstream system without any problems given the proper detail settings. This gives it a wide install base and a good upgrade path for anyone.

Value. Local retailers peg the Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC at Php6900 at the lowest making it one of the most affordable models around. With the GTX660 stocks dwindling, the Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC nicely fills this spot although performance isn’t at the same level but only by a small margin.
Palit has always been one of the companies that focus heavily in the budget-conscious market and with the release of their Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC they are certainly hitting two birds at the same time: the improved build quality is testament to the company’s will to step-up their game and rid themselves of their “cheap brand” title while also providing an affordable option for everyone who wishes to get a low-power upgrade.
The Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti StormX OC is a great first outing for Palit’s StormX brand and the GTX 750 Ti is a great base to start with showing excellent performance, power consumption and temps for a price that is sure to attract even the most budget-restricted gamer.

Can it run Watchdogs with a playable FPS? 🙂 I’m thinking of getting one.
Haven’t tested but if you’re not planning on maxing out the details, I’m positive it will do 55-60FPS no probs with just FXAA on 1080p.
