Kingston Hyperx Cloud Mav Edition Gaming Headset Review
[section label=”Introduction”]

We’ve taken a look at many iterations of the HyperX Cloud gaming headset; from the original Cloud to the updated Cloud II model, we’ve seen them a lot here in B2G and we’re really excited to bring you guys another variant of this excellent pair of cans from Kingston, with the new Kingston HyperX Cloud MAV Edition gaming headset. The Cloud MAV is a stylized rendition of the original HyperX Cloud and features a more prominent styling than its predecessor. Specs-wise, we’re still talking about the signature QPAD QH-90 profile that the HyperX Cloud has remastered for its audience: a 53mm driver, removable mic and very comfortable cups and cushions are the stand-out features of the Cloud MAV and its been spiced up with the introduction of the new series of designs. Let’s take a closer look.

The HyperX Cloud MAV Edition features the same large dome earcups of all Cloud variants and is based on the original Cloud White version with all color cues taken from it but the design similarities end there as the MAV editions freestyle drawings are coated in gloss for versus the matte treatment of the standard edition.

Included in the kit a boutique accessory kit padded like luxury including a carrying bag, the detachable mic, an extension cable splitter and a line splitter. We also got a suction cup wall hanger which is a really good touch.

User Experience & Conclusion

We won’t dive into the details here as this is mostly a redesign so let’s head on directly to our conclusion.

The HyperX Cloud MAV continues the legacy set forth by the Cloud gaming headsets from Kingston: a solid pair of cans delivering clear and crisp audio and offer impeccable comfort despite their deceptively large frame. With the growing interest in gaming audio gear being used for urban commute and street wear, Kingston has delivered a highly-usable audio gear with excellent styling to compliment a gamer’s daily lifestyle. You can read more about performance from our original HyperX Cloud review or HyperX Cloud II review and check out the Cloud White Edition. All Cloud headsets are compatible with PC, mobile and Playstation.

[section label=”Prices/Where to Buy”]

The HyperX Cloud MAV Edition retains the same price as the original but expands its potential userbase to more than gamers but also to urban and street lifestyle consumers who want a flashy headset that’s both comfortable
and well-performing, the Cloud MAV Edition is a great choice.

Kingston backs the HyperX Cloud MAV Edition gaming headset with a 2 year warranty. We give it our B2G Editor’s Choice Award!
