We’ve reviewed the [easyazon_link identifier=”B00KSNK518″ locale=”US” tag=”back2gaming-20″]Tt eSports Isurus[/easyazon_link] in the past and it was one of the most surprising IEMs we’ve tested given its build and sound quality which for its price range, was unheard of.  At $30, the Isurus delivered crisp audio citing the tight bass along with clear mids and highs as the defining characteristics of these affordable in-ears. Fast-forward a couple of years and with a few iterations made we have arrived at the latest iteration of the Isurus line, the Isurus Pro. The new Isurus Pro sports a whole new design to the signature large earbuds bearing the Tt eSports logo but what’s more notable is the inclusion of a detachable microphone boom and the sporty look. Let’s zoom in with our scopes at the Tt eSports Isurus Pro in-ear gaming headset in this review. Read on!

The Isurus Pro comes packed in a half-clear packaging with the earbuds, inline controller and microphone boom well laid-out in front of the packaging. The rear side of the box highlights the features and specs of the Isurus Pro.

Inside the packaging is a rich bundle which includes the Isurus Pro main unit with the microphone boom attached, a Y-splitter for connecting to your desktop/laptop, replacement silicone tips and a leatherette carrying pouch.

The Isurus Pro features flat assymmetrical cables. They are non tangle but aren’t non-shape retaining like some of the ones we’ve seen in the past. The feel of the wire is really sturdy though even with its flexibility.

The Isurus Pro inline controller features 3 button and also houses a mic for use without the boom.

The microphone boom is removable and connects to the left earbud. The boom does bend but its not flexible and it is highly advisable not to try and bend it out of its straight shape.

The Isurus Pro features a rather large earbud, one of the largest we’ve seen in an IEM but this is most just for design to make due for the microphone boom. Without it, the hex grill shroud can easily be gotten rid of leaving a slimmer profile. Still the design is striking, although it won’t impress a lot of folks, it’s got its appeal.

User Experience & Conclusion

We tested the Isurus Pro on a LG G3 smartphone and our gaming system with a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 5 RX. We burned-in the Isurus Pro for at least 100 hours before making any judgement.

First off, music listening. The Isurus Pro’s bass is nice and tight. Sub-bass is fair and while it doesn’t punch as much as our Ajays Two or Brainwavz S5, it’s still present and clean. Mids are really where the Isurus Pro really shine with very clear vocals presented well and complements the bass really well. Compared to the S5 or AjaysTwo, it doesn’t have the same level of detail but we expect the Isurus Pro to be more pronounced after more usage. Highs are just right, and adds a touch of sparkle to the overall listening experience. The soundstage is quite good, giving off a subtly spacious feel for its price.

Moving on to games, we tried the Isurus Pro with many of our favorite titles and we can clearly say its got an edge in terms of use but for overall listening experience, there’s really nothing new to the table. While we praise it for its detailed audio quality for music, games audio is average and we can feel these aren’t as tuned to explosions and gunfire as some of their over-ears are. And that is perfectly fine because the Isurus Pro still produces very good audio for games, with directional audio on a fairly good level but a good pair of cans are still much better for FPS scenarios. Anything else, the Isurus Pro works excellent.

The Isurus Pro looks big but that doesn’t mean its not comfortable. The buds fit nicely and the rubber earhook does a good job keeping them snug in the ear. The microphone boom when connected hugs your cheek and as mentioned, doesn’t really flex so it’s always in one spot. Preference to use the boom or the inline mic is up to the user and from our experience, both mic work fine with the boom’s obvious advantage is less microphonics. The cables are nice and flat and don’t tangle as much as the thin wires found in the Isurus.

Overall, the Tt eSports Isurus Pro is a great investment for its price. At $40, I use it more than my $50 Ajays Two and those are my favorite IEMs. Its got an impressive sound quality and the listening experience is very much up with all the good IEMs in the market right now. If you’re a discerning audiophile, you might have some reservations because of the gaming tag but the Isurus line has always been a little known giant in the budget IEM space and the Isurus Pro still continues that legacy, showing off it can handle any type listening experience and still leave the listener impressed.

Tt eSports backs the Isurus Pro with a 2-year warranty. We give the Tt eSports Isurus Pro in-ear gaming headset our B2G Performance Award and B2G Value Award!
