CONCLUSION
Looking at some internal company slides from MSI, the company revolves around two primary philosophies:
Everything begins with quality.
and
Low Prices Are Not Always the Answer!!!
Ignoring performance for a while, quality does go in favor of MSI. We’ve seen both the N670 PE and the BigBang Z77 Mpower endure punishment and take it in stride. Suffice to say, there’s simply nothing wrong with the board and graphics card on a quality and usability perspective.
We move on to MSI’s other philosophy and that’s their price and looking at the current street pricing of these products, we can see that they sit just in the sweet-spot where most enthusiast would like to be in. The Z77 Mpower retails for Php11,950 and the N670 Power Edition at roughly Php20,900, both products are priced competitively, moreso the Mpower board that competes with the likes of the Maximus V Extreme and GA-Z77X-UP7. The N670 PE on the other hand brings the heat to the DCUII competition which is priced lower than the PE, giving MSI some stiff competition. At a combined price of Php32,850, the MSI Mpower set gives the end-user a lot of flexibility with their purchase, allowing the user to increase performance potential with minimal intervention whilst still packing a loaded set of controls for granular fine-tuning.
All in all, we would like thank MSI for granting us the opportunity to experience something outside our usual test bench. Furthermore, we’ve gotten the chance to get a peek at undervolting and some other aspects that mostly get slept-on in other reviews. In closing, we would like to stress that as gamers what we want is to spend more time playing our games than making our gaming rig go faster. MSI’s commitment to both gamers and overclockers gives fans of both hobbies the chance to savor the thrill of both in one package without sacrificing stability and lifespan, complemented with the company’s own tailor-made tools to make sure more time is spent actually using the products than making them work. If you’re a gamer with the habitual urge of overclocking, we highly recommend the Mpower set. Doesn’t matter if you game or overclock; do both. MSI makes it work.
