Knock On The Coffin Lid (Pc) Review

Indie studios release games with interesting ideas. They make us happy with cool games. Thanks to such enthusiasts, we have discovered a whole new industry, which includes many good roguelike projects.

Knock On The Coffin Lid (Pc) Review

Have you played Knock on the Coffin Lid yet? Knock on the Coffin Lid is a game of the roguelike genre. It’s a reimagined genre by RedBoon Studios. The guys were able to adapt it for a wide audience. Indie developers have created a game with the complex name Knock on the Coffin Lid. We are ready to admire the completeness of the K.O.T.C.L. storyline. The plot was well thought out by RedBoon when they started. The game attracts interesting dialogues, visuals, and atmospheric music.

K.O.T.C.L. is still a work in progress. The guys have already created a cool product, but do not stop there. The developers read all the reviews about the game and fixes the bugs. The Knock on the Coffin Lid looks good – you can see that a lot of attention has been paid to the external structure. The stocky dwarf drinkers, blue-eared elves, and other inhabitants of the lands are well-drawn!

In Knock on the Coffin Lid, we are greeted by one of three characters. So far we can only resurrect one character, Percival. This is a Slavic man with a beard. That’s who we’re going to play as. We meet Mortis, who helps us resurrect each time. This man will be with us all the way.

On our route, we meet enemies and sometimes loot. For example, during the game, you see a campfire where you can rest, points where you can pump cards, and a merchant, where you have to buy equipment. And along the way, you’ll meet unfamiliar characters who want to talk with you. This part is no less interesting than the others. They will tell you stories or ask you for things. You may not agree to their requests, the choice is yours. But know that any decision you make will determine your fate, and maybe even your life. If you die, you will have to start all over again. Your character will lose all the possessions earned. In K.O.T.C.L., you can’t take anything with you in the coffin. After each rebirth, you’ll start traveling from the beginning, as if nothing ever happened. Yes, yes, you will start completely from the beginning. This is what sets Knock on the Coffin Lid apart from many other games. K.O.T.C.L. is entirely a roguelike game, with no partiality or adaptation. Everything here is serious.

Knock On The Coffin Lid (Pc) Review

When you can make it to the end of the road and defeat the bosses, you will be given valuable rewards for your journey. And after you’ve rested, you can send on your way. And even if you die at the last moment, you’ll have to start over. Your character will have to return to the starting point as if nothing ever happened too. At that point, the world will start all over again. Don’t expect any checkpoint in Knock on the Coffin Lid! The structure of the world will remain the same. The game world will keep the global constants, but small variables will change. You have experience, but only by relying on your skills will you be able to go further. The characters that you meet will be change. And as you remember, your fate also depends on them.

As for gameplay, you have a deck of cards. The deck of cards contains basic actions – you can attack and defend. Each turn gives us three mana points and five random cards. Some cards will be worth zero mana, one or two. From these, we can make up our turn. This means that, in exchange for mana, we choose cards and play them. It’s ideal to put a block for as much as your character is going to attack. And how much your enemies are going to attack, and if they’re going to attack at all, the game tells us. We always know what’s going to happen in the next turn. The main thing is to be able to work with this information, because even knowing what awaits us, we may not have the cards to create armor. Most of the time we build our turn based on what we know about the battle.

Weapons and armor that strengthen armor and health play a very important role in the fighting. All these elements help you not to die in a critical situation.

Knock On The Coffin Lid (Pc) Review

Knock on the Coffin Lid is not an RPG game where you save up potions and flowers. There’s just an RPG element here. In this game, every day is special and can be the last. Every single thing has a meaning. A single ring can save your life. Does it sound interesting, doesn’t it? In this game, rely only on your strength.

K.O.T.C.L. is a cool roguelike game. The guys at RedBoon studio are still working on the balance of the game. Knock on the Coffin Lid is a really difficult game in which players have no right to make a mistake. You can’t make a mistake here and be disorganized. To make it fun and interesting to play, you have to be ready to start over. You have to guess everything yourself, but maybe that’s the point of the game. K.O.T.C.L. available on PC. Join us!
