So yeah, Titan Eren went nuts and attacked Mikasa. They’re oh so screwed. Well kind of. Mikasa tries to talk some sense to Titan Eren, but she doesn’t quites speak Titanese, so her plea goes to deaf ears. Instead, Titan Eren attempts a punch at Mikasa hanging onto his hair, knocking himself out. Smart.
The elite team then convenes for a meeting. What the heck are they gonna do now? So they argue about it…
Conclusion? We’re screwed, but we still need to defend Eren, given that he represents the 0.1% chance of actually defeating titans, while they’re all just cannon fodder anyway… And thus, to our deaths!
As for Eren? He’s just chilling inside his titan body, deliriously dreaming of his past…
As for what’s happening out there? Humans luring titans, titans entering the hole, people struggling and dying… All in a day’s work. Seriously, they prolonged this episode by showing tons of scenes depicting how the normal soldier is faring against the titans as decoy. They’re doing badly by the way.
But lo and behold, when Armin shows up. Armin!
Basically, let’s leave the thinking to Armin on how to get Eren out, while Mikasa should do her thing and kill titans and be awesome.
Yes, Armin’s master plan is to stab Eren’s real body at a non fatal spot to jostle him to consciousness. Did it work? It does, after a couple more minutes of shouting and pleading to Eren, and reminding him of his desire to go outside the walls.
And thus, Eren’s passion burns away the bounds of his dreams~
