Introduction
MagSafe has been a wonderful design addition to Apple devices. So much so that even Android devices are now relying on accessories to give themselves a “MagSafe” compatble mount. And Apple has been very tolerant of this practice which has allowed the development of rich accessories included wireless power banks. There was a time that wireless power banks just laid flat on the back of a phone and relied purely on wireless charging contact to provide a charge but that has changed recently.
With MagSafe providing a good universal template, iPhones and Android phones with magnetic mounting systems are becoming more prevalent and power banks that are magnetic mount compatible are becoming more useful everyday as more cases pick-up compatible technologies.
In ours string of Vention power bank reviews, we have the Vention Wireless Magnetic 10000mAh 20W power bank. Read on to find out more!

Closer Look
Vention ships their 10000mah magnetic wireless power bank in a simple, colored box with a hero shot of the item at the front. There are a couple of marketing bullets but I want to highlight the Premium Brand sticker up top. Some listings of this power bank will present you a premium option but from what I can tell there’s only one model for this power bank and those listings have the same price.
Inside you the power bank, an information leaflet and a USB-C cable.
Its a relatively compact power bank similar to ones that were popular before but the Vention power bank has the obvious magnetic bump to set it apart.
Since this power bank has a kick stand, the only logical placement for the power and button is at the side or top. Vention decided to go to one side which is quite inconvenient and sees the cable jutting out when used.
Speaking of kickstand, the lower left has an extended lip to push out the kick stand which serves as a stand for the power bank standalone or…
… also a kickstand for your phone. And this is my prefer way of using it.
Right now I have two case both with magnetic wireless charging receivers and I feel they’re the best beneficiaries of this kind of power bank. Same goes for Apple iPhones.
Word of warning: if you’re using stick-on magnetic rings, make sure you grip tightly and make sure you don’t let the phone warm-up otherwise you risk softening the glue or knocking the ring out. Even without heat, the strength of the Vention magnetic wireless power bank’s magnet is more than enough to pull out your adhesive ring because it is very strong.
User Experience & Conclusion
Most of the test I done was with wired charging which stresses the battery more versus wireless charging. I can say wireless works perfect even for non-supported magnetic mount devices thanks to the adhesive ring although any phone with rough or textured backing may have a harder time securing the mount if they didn’t have a case, so take note of that.
On the wire, the power bank boasts USB PD 20W output, which is more than sufficient for fast charging most modern devices. My testing was primarily with a Lunar Lake laptop which can draw up to 65W PD. The power bank delivered consistent voltage and current over an extended period, as evidenced by the testing chart. Toward the end of the test, I accidentally knocked the wire, causing a dip in the readings. Still, it’s clear that the device can handle sustained 20W output without breaking a sweat.
Wireless charging was just as impressive. With up to 15W output, the power bank easily kept up with my phone. Funny how 10,000mAh could easily top you up for days but with flagship phones in the 5000mAh range, that’s just a single refill. If you’re travelling and have a 5G service on your phone, the Vention 10000mAh power bank can just hang off your phone and keep you charged for a while. The MagSafe mounting ensures perfect alignment, which is critical for efficient charging. Even when I moved around a bit, the magnetic connection held firm, giving me peace of mind that my phone wouldn’t lose its charge midway.
One thing that stood out to me was the efficiency of this power bank. With a rated capacity of 10000mAh (38.5Wh), it delivered 37.97Wh during my tests. That’s an excellent conversion rate, especially for a device of this size. It’s worth noting that it sustained power output for 2 hours and 20 minutes at 20W, which is more than enough for a quick top-up or even a full charge for most smartphones.
Of course, no device is without its quirks. The power bank’s magnetic mounting is best suited for MagSafe-compatible devices. If you don’t have one or your phone can’t mount one/no compatible case then the feature is needless. Additionally, while I appreciated the focus on USB-C for both input and output, some users might miss the versatility of a USB-A port.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I’m generally impressed by the Vention 10000mAh power bank. The combination of MagSafe compatibility, 20W USB PD output, and a kickstand makes it a well-rounded option for anyone looking for a portable charger. It’s not just a power bank; it’s a companion for your daily tech needs.
If you’re in the market for a new power bank, the Vention 10000mAh Magnetic Wireless Power Bank should be on your radar. It strikes an excellent balance between form and function, making it a reliable choice for both casual users and tech enthusiasts.
