CLOSER LOOK
Obligatory box-shot. If you’ve seen our other WD product reviews, the box art should be familiar. The WD MyNet N600 comes in a simple blue and white box with a clean front layout. Most of the detailed content are displayed on the back but nothing really worth pointing out here.
Inside the package we receive a humble bundle of the N600 router, some documentation, a LAN cable, and a DC adaptor with multiple plugs available.
The WD MyNet N600 is clad in a black and white case. The design is very Western Digital in a subtle way. There’s not much buttons to be seen here, as the front only contains LED and indicators with a WPS button as the sole form of interaction here. Checking out the rear of the casing, we have venting holes and screw mounts so yes, it is possible to wall-mount this router.
The WD MyNet N600 allows up to 4GBLAN ports to be connected directly to the router. A single USB2.0 port is provided and is capable of powering portable 2.5″ hard drives such as the WD MyPassport series or just about anything else.
