A four-minute per episode anime that actually works!
After a thousand years, the demon king has revived and is now threatening the world. The king then assembled the descendants of the old hero who defeated the demon king in order now make a stand. And they number 75. Including some who may or may not be related anymore to the old hero.
And so the series follows the (mis)adventure of the 45th hero, Alba, and his companion Ros, who simply doesn’t give a damn…
Somehow, the silliness actually works for me. It ping pongs between different art style depending on the mood, which actually enables it to give a better experience to the viewers. The comedy isn’t that monumental, but it works in being silly and knowing it is silly without going over the top. And the contrast between the well-meaning hero and deadpan soldier is probably what really defines this.
So I say, good enough for a four minute show.
