Now this is a surprise: in the latest issue of Hobby Japan, there’s an announcement regarding a Master Grade Hyaku Shiki ver 2.0. Yes, Char Aznable’s (as Quattro Bajeena) final unit in Gundam Zeta is going to have a second Master Grade version.
Bandai’s Master Grades have greatly improved in terms of details, making newer kits with details that can rival Perfect Grades starting from the now-classic Nu Gundam ver Ka down to Hi-Nu Gundam ver Ka and even non Universal Century models like the upcoming Gundam Double X. While it’s still too early to tell, this upcoming kit looks to continue that trend.
These pictures also show that the kit will also feature the Ballute system. But you’ll have to wait until its release date in May. The price? 7,200 yen. That’s roughly PhP 2,700 in current exchange rates. Not bad for a seemingly new kit but it does beg the question of whether this will be in default Titanium Finish mode (like the Unicorn Phenex), or it will be in matte Gold.
