It’s still a mystery as to why Bandai chose to re-release two kits in updated colors instead of making a brand new kit to market alongside the new Unicorn series. But hey, any release is fine in a line whose priority level seems to have been bumped down considerably.

Of all the available model kits of the Freedom Gundam, the RG has perhaps the best design. That may soon change.

Bandai seems to show us that they still have a few tricks up their sleeves when it comes to Gunpla. Sure, only one of the newly announced kits are actually new, but the “remastered” one and the “re-designed for a new scale” one are enough to merit serious consideration.

The new 1/100 scale Gundam model kits are on display in All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2015. We actually guessed these a few months back… hire us Bandai.
