Conquering Youtube In 2022: A Step-By-Step Guide

A YouTuber with one million subscribers may expect to earn around $60,000 per year. Do you want to repeat this success in 2022? Then stop doubting and postponing, take your first step right now, because you don’t have to buy expensive equipment to create video content – take any camera, master a convenient video editor, and generate some creative ideas. So that you can get started without being distracted by studying a ton of information on the Internet, we have prepared detailed instructions. So, let’s go!

Conquering Youtube In 2022: A Step-By-Step Guide

Channel creation

To create a channel, you need to go through account creation first: open the main YouTube page and find the Login button in the upper right corner. By clicking on it, you’ll open the authorization page in your Google account. If you already have mail on Gmail.com, then you can log in to YouTube with your existing username and password. If you don’t – first create an account with Google, and then repeat the above mentioned steps.

Then goes the fun part: click on the profile avatar in the upper right corner and select the Create channel item in the menu that opens. The service will offer to edit the automatically generated channel name and will show a brief help for newbie content creators.

Also don’t forget to go through a few more steps.

  • Think of a channel name. Make it understandable, original, easy to remember, and non-infringing.
  • Make a good avatar and profile header. Often the visual is what your visitors see first. They decide whether to continue studying the channel or not. So make it as “juicy” as possible and don’t forget to study the required dimensions. Or use ready-made templates provided by Image Resizer by Retoucher.
  • Add keywords to search for your channel. Without further ado, SEO is crucial.
  • Add a description – tell viewers what your channel is about.
  • Add email to contact.
  • Verify your phone.

What to blog about?

Most likely, you have already perfectly decided on what you want to shoot.

If not, then:

#1. Think about what you usually watch on YouTube, go to the main page or subscriptions. The best content you can start making is the one you enjoy watching yourself.

#2. Check out the top 100 channels by popularity on Socialblade.

#3. Google a niche list of the fastest-growing channels

If you have already decided on what to shoot, remember that how you will shoot is also important.

The YouTube audience is quite demanding on the quality of content: in 2022, users will not watch a video shot on a gray background without good sound. There is a growing demand for content supplemented with various effects that have undergone serious processing. So make sure you have:

  • sound without noise, echo, and other interference;
  • video effects that make videos more interesting and vivid;
  • correct cutting, synchronization of picture and sound;
  • the presence of subtitles, which is important for people with hearing impairments and those who watch videos without sound at work, in transport;
  • high resolution, ensuring the correct display on mobile devices and the screen of a TV, computer, or laptop.

What is important is the script with no illogicalities, long pauses, and other “holes”. In the case of voice acting, you should choose a specialist with a pleasant voice and clear speech, otherwise, the depth of video viewing will be minimal. The format of “home” videos is gradually fading into the background, today it is possible to achieve efficiency when promoting a YouTube channel only with the help of a professional team consisting of an operator, video editor, voiceover specialists, effects and others, which depends on the chosen format, scenario and audience. The minimum program includes a video zone, lightboxes, and the right light, as well as programs for processing the captured content.

Conquering Youtube In 2022: A Step-By-Step Guide

Powerful tips to follow

#1. Try to release videos regularly and don’t change the presenter. This will help the viewer quickly navigate, remember the channel and not lose it among others.

#2. Choose 1-3 formats that will be the basis: talk show, challenge, podcast, lectures, product review.

#3. Study trends. YouTube has implemented the “Trends” feature, which contains the most relevant videos. So review this section from time to time to determine priority topics and content of interest to users.

#4. Delve into live broadcasts. Every year the popularity of live broadcasts is growing. Despite the simplicity in preparing the broadcast, we advise you to make broadcasts of the same quality as regular videos. Work from multiple cameras, prepare the script, and stick to the format of the show.

#5. Use editing, thanks to which the angles in the finished video will change every 30-60 seconds. And in general, try to make the duration no more than 30 minutes, optimally – up to 15 minutes.

Final words

If you’re willing to put in some work to conquer the vlog market, now is the best time to start winning YouTube over. Every day, site users watch thousands of hours of video, and your content will also find its own viewer. You just need to be patient, systematically move towards the goal to gain views and subscribers, and not be afraid to experiment.
