Educators are now finally recognizing the role of video games in providing an alternative form of learning. I can’t think of a better example than Portal. So coinciding with the launch of the site Learn with Portals, Steam is also offering the game as a free download until Sept. 20, 2011. The game Portal, educators believe, will teach students the fundamentals of physics and the skill of critical thinking.
