Adata Launches Legend 970 Pcie Gen 5 Ssd

ADATA Technology Co., Ltd., a leading memory brand, has launched its LEGEND 970 Solid-State Drive (SSD), which is designed to take advantage of the new generation of PCIe 5.0 technology. The LEGEND 970 offers impressive maximum sequential read/write speeds of 10,000/10,000 MB per second. Its most notable feature is its unique double-layer aluminium alloy heatsink with a built-in micro-fan and surface crystallization, creating a patented active air-cooling system. This active cooling system improves thermal conductivity, reduces temperatures by 10% compared to fanless heatsinks, and ensures stable performance during extended high-speed operation.

Adata Launches Legend 970 Pcie Gen 5 Ssd

Active cooling is essential for dissipating heat during high-speed PCIe 5.0 data transmission to prevent overheating and maintain system performance. The LEGEND 970’s double-layer extruded aluminium heatsink design features dense air ducts that divert hot and cold air, while the rotation of the micro fan circulates the confluence of hot and cold air and expels exhaust heat from both ends of the fins. The addition of “surface crystallization” on the heatsink surface increases the overall air contact area, enhancing the heat dissipation efficiency of the air cooling system. This innovative cooling design not only reduces temperatures but also ensures stable performance even after long-term high-speed operation.

The LEGEND 970 offers sustained ultra-fast performance with its PCIe Gen 5 x4 transmission interface and compliance with the NVMe 2.0 standard. It delivers read/write speeds of 10,000/10,000 MB per second, which is double the speed of standard PCIe Gen 4 SSDs and six times faster than Gen 3 SSDs. It is also backward compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 platforms, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of systems. The LEGEND 970 also utilizes SLC cache algorithm and DRAM Cache Buffer, providing advantages in system loading and data caching. With random read/write speeds of 1,400K/1,400K IOPS, multitasking processes become more efficient. The LEGEND 970 is compatible with the latest Intel and AMD platforms and can handle complex output, such as 3D animation, game development, and virtual visualization, while maintaining stable high performance.

The LEGEND 970 features the best components to ensure reliability and durability. It uses strictly selected 232-layer 3D flash memory, allowing for large capacities of up to 2000 GB. The SSD incorporates various data protection and correction technologies to increase Total Bytes Written (TBW) and durability, meeting various high load requirements. It also includes a Low Density Parity Check Code (LDPC) error correction mechanism and AES 256-bit high-level encryption technology to ensure the accuracy and security of data transmission, protecting intellectual property. The LEGEND 970 comes with a 5-year global limited warranty and offers a free SSD Toolbox for real-time hard drive status monitoring.

ADATA’s LEGEND 970 SSD sets a new benchmark for storage products in the consumer market. With its patented heat dissipation solution and impressive read/write speeds, it offers high-performance and stable operation. The unique active air-cooling system ensures that the SSD remains cool during high-speed operation, avoiding performance degradation due to overheating. Whether for intensive tasks like 3D animation or gaming, the LEGEND 970 provides a reliable and efficient storage solution.
