TSMC has been challenged by immense supply issues and with products relying heavily on their strategy to cope with demand, AMD is hinging on them as well to ensure that the Ryzen 7000 launch doesn’t see a significant delay. AMD held out on Ryzen 5000 during 2020 due to global lockdowns but could see a COMPUTEX 2022 announcement for the Ryzen 7000 as it ramps up production.
Ryzen 7000 will require a new socket AM5 motherboard, which will debut alongside the new CPUs. The new boards will support PCIe Gen5 and DDR5 memory as well.
