Intel’s current crop of Meteor Lake laptops form the first half of the new Core Ultra Series 1 family with the upcoming LGA1851 desktop CPUs codenamed Arrow Lake-S joining them to complete the Intel Core Ultra Series 1 family. With photos of the LGA1851 socket and compatible motherboards already shown in trade shows, the community is just waiting for Intel to launch the CPUs that will usher in the AI PC era on desktop.
Reliable leaker OneRaichu posted about the names suggesting the names of both K-type launch SKUs and the non-K models. As listed in the title, the launch SKUs for the K-type unlocked CPUs for Arrow Lake-S LGA1851 CPUs are below:
- Core Ultra 9 285K
- Core Ultra 7 265K
- Core Ultra 5 245K
With the non-K 65W variants instead of dropping the K, completely dropping their number tiers as below:
- Core Ultra 9 275
- Core Ultra 7 255
- Core Ultra 5 240
No official specs has been reported yet and with the change in architecture, the tech press is waiting to confirm earlier theories of potential core or clock reductions. The desktop debut of Arrow Lake-S represents the first major branding change for Intel since the debut of the Intel Core brand.
