ASUS debuted its most powerful upcoming router during COMPUTEX 2018 and it finally has been formally launched during the ASUS Incredible Intelligence event. The ASUS ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000 is the new flagship model for ASUS under its ROG banner and will feature 802.11ax support.
The Rapture GT-AX11000 retains the same form as the original Rapture GT-AC5300 but switches it up with an RGB LED illuminated ROG logo at the top. Aside from that, the router is physically the same with minor difference. The new router also sports tri-band antennas, improved signal range, increased device capacity and of course, faster speeds for devices that support the 802.11ax frequency.
The router is designed to pickup ASUS and ROG products on the network and work with them to optimize network traffic. Laptops and gaming PCs armed with the ASUS GameFirst V network management software will be able to send data to the router and allow it to manage gaming traffic and route them to the WTFast GPN network for improved latency.
Also on display are the ASUS RT-AX88U capable of delivering AX6000 wireless bandwidth along with the mesh bundle of the AX92U. AiMesh is an ASUS technology that allows seamless and easy mesh network setup for full home and small-office coverage.
Availability and pricing have not been announced yet for these models.
