Bethesda Game Studios expresses its gratitude to the Starfield community and acknowledges the tremendous response to the game’s launch. The company has been actively collecting player feedback to enhance the gaming experience. While recognizing requests for improvements and new features, Bethesda emphasizes its commitment to long-term support for Starfield.

The initial update, labeled as a small hotfix, addresses critical issues and stability concerns identified by players. Subsequent updates will follow a regular schedule and incorporate community-requested features. Some of the upcoming additions include brightness and contrast controls, an HDR calibration menu, FOV slider, Nvidia DLSS support for PC, and 32:9 ultrawide monitor support (PC). Players can also look forward to an “eat” button for food.

Bethesda is collaborating with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel to ensure driver support for the game, with each update aimed at improving stability and performance. Furthermore, the company is actively working on built-in mod support (Creations) designed to function across all platforms, similar to their previous titles like Skyrim and Fallout 4. This comprehensive mod support is expected to launch early next year. Bethesda encourages the PC modding community to provide feedback on how to enhance the modding experience.

Bethesda Game Studios invites players to continue sharing their feedback, promising to consider all suggestions. The commitment to Starfield’s ongoing development reflects Bethesda’s dedication to delivering a continually improved and refined gaming experience.

Update Version 1.7.29: Fixes and Improvements

In addition to the broader updates mentioned, Bethesda has released version 1.7.29, addressing specific performance and stability issues, particularly on Xbox Series X|S consoles. These improvements aim to enhance the overall gameplay experience. The update also resolves quest-related issues in various missions, ensuring smoother progress for players.

Bethesda remains dedicated to refining and optimizing Starfield for all players, and future updates are anticipated to further enhance the game’s performance, features, and overall enjoyment.
