One of the latest game that we can look forward to from Boomzap is their game called “Last Regiment“.
And fortunately enough, we saw and tried the actual game during ESGS 2017. The game is still in Alpha stage according to their devs. We also had a short conversation with them to know more about the game.
According to Boomzap, the game “Last Regiment” is going to be a fantasy-themed strategy game with simultaneous turn-based gameplay. After playing the game, we can say that the game is quite similar to “Legends of Callasia” or more like a better version of it.
Also, the game has that Brigandine feel and sense when we played it. Brigandine is a tactical role-playing game for the PlayStation video game console, created by developer Hearty Robin and released in 1998.

As said, the game is still in Alpha stage so you can expect major changes once the game is out of Alpha stage. Here is the main UI of the game. There are different modes and different options.
I and my wife played the game together. We opted to play cooperative skirmish just for the fun of it. Unfortunately, given that this game is in Alpha stage, we already encountered some major issues in just a few minutes of the game. We couldn’t play together because there’s no dedicated server yet and the game is not well optimized yet.
Here is the actual gameplay UI. The mechanics of the game is actually quite simple. All you have to do is build, summon, earn gold, kill enemies, and win. Simple right? Not really. It is a strategy after all.
Most of the times, I only test the game and not play through it at all but the Last Regiment game by Boomzap got me hooked. We played until we finish the skirmish. It was simple but addictive.
