In non-gaming news, a recent report from CNETÂ is stating that all Facebook users’ profile will be forcibly converted into the new Timeline profile page. CNET further states that Facebook is still unclear with the implementation of the said move but what’s clear is that Facebook is set to push this one through, whether users like it or not.
Timeline is Facebook’s new profile page feature and does a bit more than just show content you recently posted like your old Wall did. Timeline present content and user information in a chronological manner enabling viewers to see information and activities (depending on post’s visibility) of other people either from right now or since they joined. Many people are concerned that this might dig up embarrassing posts and photos of them back when they were younger and so many other reason. Down here in the Philippines, the majority of users just don’t like how Timeline looks and serves data. It might differ from person to person, but they have to live with it when they are automatically shifted to Timeline by Facebook.
Facebook however will allow a 7 day period to review your new page before it becomes published. Enough time to delete anything you want from your past you don’t want anyone else seeing. This is similar to the prior launch of Timeline where early adopters were given 7 days before their Wall vanishes and Timeline takes over and no turning back from there.
