Okay I haven’t really started with the series I shared you guys weeks ago but RL is keeping me busy as of the moment. So to set things aside I’d like to announce that Garena is currently looking for a new game master in their ranks. GAME MASTER
Garena’s operations team is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals who are hard workers and team players that can execute instructions efficiently.
Applicants must be able to work full-time at our office in the Makati Area. Hours for this position may vary, and applicants may be required to work weekends and possibly holiday shifts.
Garena offers a fun, creative, and technically challenging environment with opportunity for growth. Fresh graduates of any field are welcome to apply.
Previous industry experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Management
- Assist the Product Manager in formulating an efficient content strategy that will deliver the best game experience.
- Locate and evaluate content
- Assess game’s profitability and marketability, ensuring content must be synergistic and in-line with the Content strategy.
- Assist the Product Manager in building and maintaining the game portal/site and forums.
Marketing
- Understand the Local Market (income, ethnicity, age, behavior, content preferences);
- Assist the Product Manager in developing strategies that will grow the games active user base, paying subscribers and concurrent usage.
- Submit regular reports to the Product Manager
- Manage events from In-game Events, GM managed Events, Contests, promotions, prizes, onsite tournaments and parties.
Game Operations
- Manage daily game operations and maintenance.
- Conduct communications between the company and the player community via various online assets.
- Oversee and support game patch testing and implementation.
- Formulate policies and strategies to improve or maximize player enjoyment (item drop rates, experience gain rates, game system management, etc.) and still maintain the long term viability of the product.
- Ensure a smooth client patching or launch process including but not limited to bug hunting, tracking and fixes.
- Provide technical support for player and café community.
- Other responsibilities, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably female
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Previous experience in Online / Web activities
- A strong motivation and high level of commitment
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Autonomy and rigor are requested skills
- Passion for playing Online games
- Good knowledge of our games
PLUSES
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Online gaming working experience
- Knowledge of community tools (ym, forums, etc…)
- Knowledge of native dialects and language (Tagalog, Bisaya, etc…)
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
